Client Personal Testimonial

Question 1: As a surgeon with a demanding schedule, how would you describe the importance of therapeutic massage in managing stress, pain, and muscular tension?

It provides a peaceful setting where you forget all things that still hang over your head. It provides antidepressant effects without medication and pain relief from both massage manipulation but also endorphin release. Once the deep tissue therapy begins you feel almost separated from your body.

Question 2: Why do you believe medical professionals should consider therapeutic massage as part of their wellness routine?

Just looking at the lymphatic system, the manual manipulation that comes with deep tissue massage forces both blood flow return but also movement of lymphatic fluid within the tissues. The aids in autophagy by causing the processing of toxins and senescent cell removal. The movement of extracellular tissue fluid that is facilitated by massage would benefit anyone but in particular medical practitioners that are on their feet for hours at a time.

Question 3: How would you describe Kaylia’s clinical approach and knowledge of anatomy and pain patterns?

Kaylia continually demonstrates a vast working knowledge of general anatomy and especially musculoskeletal structures. Her training has been intensive, and it shows.

Question 4: Can you share an example of a time when a massage with Kaylia directly improved a physical issue you were experiencing?

I suffer from numbness that extends down my legs to both feet due to narrowing of my spinal lateral nerve canals because of standing and performing surgeries over the decades. Her stretching and deep tissue techniques relieve muscle pain and reduce the nerve symptoms, making the pain much more bearable.

Question 5: What changes have you noticed in your body since receiving weekly treatment over the last three years?

My posture has improved because of pain relief in my lower back and between my shoulder blades. I am now able to perform my surgeries in a better ergonomic position. I have considerably less hand pain and have reduced numbness of my fingers during longer surgeries.

Question 6: Do you recommend therapeutic massage to your patients, and if so, why?

Yes, I recommend it to patients and my peers. For patients I recommend massage therapy for facial pain and temporomandibular disorders. I have recommended it to my peers on many occasions. It is especially beneficial for cervical and thoracic back pain secondary to overuse.

Question 7: How would you describe the environment, professionalism, and level of care you receive at Kneading Soul Therapy?

It is a welcoming environment that is clean and inviting. The background music is relaxing, as are the dimmed lighting and heated massage table.

Question 8: The biggest change I’ve noticed is

I have definitely noticed less joint pain and a reduction in parathesis. My sleep has improved, with less restlessness and pain leading to a deeper and more relaxing sleep. My flexibility has improved, as demonstrated by the improved ergonomics that I am able to achieve while performing surgery.
